SeascapeID Publisher, managed by Yayasan Pilar Abadi Nusantara, is committed to safeguarding the privacy of authors, reviewers, readers, and all visitors to our platform.
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. By using our services, you agree to the practices described herein.
We collect information you provide directly — such as name, email address, institutional affiliation, and manuscript details when you register or submit an article. We also collect technical data automatically, including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and session duration through cookies and server logs.
Your information is used to manage account registration, facilitate peer review and editorial workflows, send submission status notifications and editorial correspondence, improve the platform's performance and user experience, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your data for unrelated commercial purposes.
We share data only where necessary: with peer reviewers (anonymised under double-blind review), with Crossref for DOI registration, with indexing services such as Google Scholar and GARUDA, and with service providers bound by confidentiality agreements. We never sell your personal data to third parties.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted HTTPS connections, access-controlled databases, and regular security reviews. While we take every reasonable precaution, no digital transmission is completely secure, and we encourage you to use strong, unique passwords for your account.
Our platform uses essential cookies to maintain sessions (for example login) and language preferences. These are required for the site to work and do not require prior consent. Separately, we may use optional analytics cookies only after you agree via our cookie banner.
When you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to collect aggregated, anonymised usage statistics — such as pages viewed, approximate location (country), device type, and interaction events (for example search, manuscript submission, or payment steps). This helps us improve the publisher platform for authors, reviewers, and readers. Google may process this data on servers outside Indonesia under its own privacy terms (https://policies.google.com/privacy). We do not sell personal data. You can refuse analytics cookies (essential only); the site will still function, but we will not load Google Analytics.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Published article metadata is retained indefinitely to maintain the scholarly record. You may request deletion of account data at any time, subject to our obligations to maintain the integrity of the published archive.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. You may also object to processing or request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at admission@seascapeid.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
Contact our editorial team with any questions or requests related to your personal data.
